FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS TATTOOS

The price of a tattoo can vary quite a bit. This is due to various factors such as the size, the area to be tattooed, the number of colours and, of course, the design. If you would like an indication of what your tattoo will cost, please contact one of our studios or drop by.

Of course, getting a tattoo is not completely painless, but the pain is different for each person. Getting a tattoo can be described as an unpleasant feeling, but not very painful. Of course, the part of the body on which the tattoo is placed also affects the pain. In general, the thinner the skin and the closer to the bone, the more sensitive the tattoo will be.

Fully healing a tattoo takes between 2 and 3 months on average. Of course, this time also depends on how well the tattoo has been cared for. After the tattoo is fully healed, it can be touched up if necessary.

We recommend not swimming or sunbathing with the new tattoo for at least 2 to 4 weeks. The tattoo has not fully recovered before that period and may cause irreparable damage to it. Also, after this period, always use a sunscreen with a high protection factor.

The time of getting a tattoo also depends on several factors such as the size, design, number of colours and the area to be tattooed. If you want to receive an approximate estimate of how long it will take to get your tattoo, contact one of our studios or drop by.

At Pure Ink, we set tattoos from the age of 16, but with the approval of a legal representative. From the age of 18, this is no longer necessary, but we ask for valid ID at all times to establish the correct age.

Clients aged between 16 and 18 are not eligible for a tattoo on the head, neck or hands, even with the approval of a legal representative.

Despite the fact that we have more than 10 tattoo artists spread across our offices in Purmerend, Volendam and Emmeloord, it is always advisable to make an appointment by phone to make. Arriving at our premises without an appointment is of course no problem, but we cannot guarantee that there will be an immediate spot available with one of our tattoo artists.

Before getting a tattoo, we recommend avoiding alcohol or drugs at least 24 hours beforehand. We also strongly advise against other blood-thinning drugs.

It is important to eat well before your tattoo. Get a good night's sleep and preferably wear loose clothing when you go to your appointment.

If you have allergies, use medication or have a skin condition, always inform the tattoo artist.

No, if you are pregnant, the GGD explicitly advises against getting a tattoo. This increases the risk of possible infections during pregnancy.
